Martin Schoeller Studio | Native
Albuquerque, New Mexico
2022, 2024
Every year for the last 41 years, Native people from hundreds of different Nations come to celebrate and share their culture at the Gathering of Nations. I traveled with Martin in 2022 and 2024 to the Pow Wow to document and photograph Native people and their stories.
We thank all of those who took the time to sit with Martin.

Martin Schoeller Studio | Tulsa Massacre Survivors
Washington, D.C., Oklahoma, Colorado
2023
The 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre is one of the worst incidents of racial violence in American history. Around 300 black people were murdered and the Greenwood neighborhood in Tulsa, Oklahoma was completely destroyed. To this day, none of these criminal acts has ever been prosecuted or punished by the government at any level: municipal, county, state, or federal.
Thank you Mother Fletcher, Mother Randle, and Uncle Redd, for sharing your stories with us and continuing to fight for justice.
